nope. What you do is take a paperclip and jump the 2 far top right terminals on the port. Then turn the ignition to ON so that all the electronics light up.
The security light will start blinking codes. It will blink once, then twice with like a half second pause between. It will do that 3 times with a pause of 2 seconds between each code. It will blink code 12 (once, half second pause, then two) three times. After that will be any error codes that are stored.
For instance if you have code 34 stored, it will blink 3 times, half second pause, and then blink 4 times. Once you have all of these numbers all you need to do is refer to a Chilton's manual or any other manual and it will list the error codes.
