Im slowly getting some money saved up for my new engine.....i want to go with a 350 engine and stay with TBI. I live in Texas and we have emissions but I'm not sure exactly what the rules are. What setup(s) could I go with? I want to start planning on what I will be buying......and start buying the smaller stuff now and make sure I have everything ready to go onces I put it in. I am completely new to this....and just want to have a rough estimate on what it will cost, how much power I will be getting out of it, and what my options are. Thanks

you will have to contact your local dmv or dot for your local laws. thats your best route to know what you can do to your car legally. Check a few posts down, pics of engine bay. there is a breakdown of a nice buildup of a 350.

 

i went to where i was getting the car inspected and asked their advice

 

My girlfriend asked her dad, and he said that here in Texas, you can only put an engine of the same year or older into a car. Im not sure if this is totally true, or there is something missing, I will need to ask aroudn some more.
