I am looking into getting one soon like tomorrow. I only saw them listed for 86 and earlier. Did you guys just elongate the center holes to fit 87 up iron heads?
Thanks

im using heads from an 86 so i didnt have to mess with the manifold
the adapter plate is the turbo city peice, I had to grind on it for hours to use the bigger throttle body but it just about fits fine for the smaller one, youll need to notch the outer edges of the intake flange just slightly but it wasnt a problem for me
youll also need to do something about fuel lines cause the stock ones will hit the back of the plate, might try some creative bending i just used a short section of rubber line (I never said my car wasnt a hack job
)
uhhh oh youll have to lose the pcv too because youll need to run your power brake hose to the pcv port on the throttle body
not a problem for me cause i have two big breathers

The 2" throttle body is a bit wider than the flange on the opening on a carb intake. Correct me if I'm wrong, Pablo, but when you say "notching the intake flange" you do mean grinding away where the throttle body bores overlap on the edge of the intake flange, right?

i have one for sale if you would like it, i just bought one that is powdercoated. Email me if you are interested. Its clean and looks great, just isnt powdercoated.
Ive been told that the center 4 holes need to be elongated.
Am i going to have a problem grinding powdercoated aluminium? will it chip or what? i am now worried about this part of the install. thanks

i was talking about the stock throttle body
the stock throttle body is just ever so slightly larger than the width of the intake youll need to just grind just a small bit out of the intake flange so that there is no ledge for the air to run into
the 2" throttle body is another story alltogether, i had to grind the adapter plate such that it angled inward along with the notch i ground in for the original small throttle body
youll see what i mean when you get it

Hey, snflupigus, i might buy the torker 2 from you, but what is involved with elongating the holes? and what is the difference between powdercoated and not? Will this manifold fit on vortech heads when I put a vortech 350 in there later on? thanks
