Fuel Delivery problem
Fuel Delivery problem
I have a 1991 Chevy pickup with a 350,5 speed, and sometimes it sputters, and when im at low rpm's and floor it it will jerk forward and back real fast as if it's not getting enough fuel, I gave the truck a complete tune-up to find the problem, including the fuel pump, and i also put injector cleaner in the tb, could the injectors need to be replaced?
Thanks-

DId you check for error codes? It may or may not be a fuel problem, you gotta find out that first. Use a scan tool and check the BLM's under warm operation and you'll see a lean condition EASILY and INSTANTLY. Could also be a sticky EGR.

My dad has a 93 350 truck. When you are at low rpm, it acts as if you are nailing it and leting off a bunch of times. We talked to people and they say it is the EGR, not the injectors because it runs good at higher or lower rpm range.
I checked for error codes and it was clear, so i'm guessing that rules out the EGR valve, what is this tps sensor and where is it located?
Iwas also told it could be the fuel injectoe filters?

whats the mialage, it could be your injector filters, you can replace them cheap, consists of taking off pod, and reubuilding it. Take an hour maybe.
Tps is on the left side of the throttle body looking into the car(its oposite the linkage
) there is a tech article on adjusting it or making sure its reading right.
really with the info you give, it could just be a tuneup, i think you need to do more checkin over before anybody here could give you a really good solid answer. drivability problems are the toughest, even for a mechanic.
