Injectors not injecting, help!

'91 RS TBI. Just bought this car, it has some wiring problems. I got electricity going, finally, but it won't run. Checked fuel, will start with spray, but won't run. The only thing I can think of is that there is still an electical problem and the injectors are not working.
My problem is that I don't know how to test it. How do you test the injectors? What things might stop them from working when everything else works, fuel, spark, etc.?

first make sure you are getting good connection. then make sure you are getting power to the injectors.use a voltmeter.

Thanks, but I kind of had that part figured. How do you test with the voltmeter, there are two wires on each injector. Should they have voltage all the time, or only when firing? Which wire has the voltage? If the pulse is very short, a volt meter may not pick it up.

Check the 20A fuse on the fender next to the battery. It controls the fuel pump, ECM and injectors. It baffled me when I blew that fuse once, The car would crank normally but wouldn't start. Replaced the fuse and all was well.

when you say you have checked fuel, did you remove the fuel lines and turn the key to the on position? can you hear the fuel pump also? the injectors will have a fast surge of power when you go to turn the motor over, so yes the meter will catch it.
