How big?

Ok guys I know you have been discussing boring a throttle body to 2 inches, may not work. So what is the max that you can bore it out? 48mm? Can the Edelbrock tbi manifold be bored to match? I know a guy that may pull his in favor of a carb, if this can be done may want to get it from him. Also would it be beneficial to port the manifold? Thanks in advance. Mike

don't think so. walls too thin.

lol carb = no more HP (if stock), less MPG.

How far can the stock unit be bored?

answer: 2" if you add material, i havent done this yet, but have heard of guys jb welding the back of the tbi before boring.(that was on crossfire tb)
if i were you, i would go 48mm. That will leave the back wall VERY thin, like 3mm if that.

bore than manifold?

answer: get a spacer. dont worry about boring the manifold, only minimal gains from doing that. just use a spacer.
