Larger throttle bodies for TBI?

I have a 1992 Camaro RS with a 305 TBI. Does anyone know if anybody offers a larger and/or high performance throttle body? Any information will be helpful.

I believe holley makes a larger throttle body with 2" bores compared to the stock 1 11/16" bores. Snflupigus, the moderator of this board is designing a new throttle body also. I think his will be much better than holley's . I am gonna wait for that one. With a larger TB, I think you might need a different intake manifold though. I'm not an expert and I'm sure you'll get some other info. L8R

Holley does indeed make a 2" throttle body. It flows 670cfm. Unless you've got some other modifications to go with it the 2" TBI unit is overkill. Yes, you will need a different manifold.

That is true!, actually, designing is designed. its done. Im going to go have one built tomorow if he gives me the right $$.

It is 2", but i dont know any flow rates.
It could be bored to 2.25 or larger. YIKES. that would be for some crazy ap, like a blown 400, or something that needed over 1000cfm. which not much does.

the 2" should flow around 700, and wouldnt be for a stock 305.

I may build a 1.75 unit for a 305, but i dont know yet. Its all gona be about the $$'s now. I dont have 10g's to drop for a production run, so one at a time is what it looks like, i dont know guys. i will definatly keep all posted on what it does for my car.

and then maybe ill sell a few more testers along with a legally biding secrecy agreement.

But ya, to answer you ?. holley makes one, its roughly the same as the rochester 454. except i think the base bolt patterns are differet. Holley bolts to squarebore??

but unless you are runnin over 300 hp and NEED larger than 65pph injectors to keep the car from leaning out. you dont need a 2". it would improve high rpms on a high reving engine though.

Hey guys I was thinking about topping off the engine I'm hoping to start building over the winter months (I gotta recover financially from buying the car first!) with one of these 670's. I wanna keep EFI for the usual reasons you can probably figure for yourself, what i was wondering is whats the hook up proceadure for these like? Do they use the stock wiring, and is the factory fuel pump enough to feed one? I figure the stock pump isn't gonna be enough to keep a 350 pushing around 350 HP from starving on the top end. Anyway I'm just getting ideas right now and it'll be a while before i do anything, just looking for feedback. Thanks up front to anyone who's done it before or just puts in their 2 cents!
