TBI to TPI

just wondering if there is any difference in a 305 TPI and a 305 TBI bottom end? i know the cam is different, but what else? im needing a rebuild, and im thinking of possible upgrades. i would eventually like to convert to TPI or HOLLEY MPI setup,(they are about the same price) with a supercharger, and i was wondering what kind of upgrades i should do to the bottom end while the motor is out. (will probably stay with TBI until i recover from the cost of the rebuild, then convert, then add supercharger) need a good foundation, open for suggestions.

the auto TPI and TBI 305 have the same cam but the 5speed 305 TPI and 350 TPI have another better cam. The 305 TPI also has better heads than the 305 TBI. If you're going to charge it you should get some forged rods and better pistons. Probably some longer rods too if they aren't too much. Pop up pistons would let you run bigger heads like 64cc Trick flows.
