the little brake light that comes on when u have your parking brake on. Mine is on not all the time, but sometimes, not as bright as if u had the parking brake on, but definately on.. what could this mean?

??? probably the switch is slightly activated. Maybe something is blocking your handle from going down all the way.

Also check your brake fluid level. I don't know the exact terminology but there is some sort of mechanism in the reservoir that triggers the switch when the fluid level is low. In fact check your lines to ensure that you have no leaks.

Some proportioning vvalves have a piston that slides to one side when one side (front or rear) of the brake system has a leak/worn pieces.

Check that out or go to Midas and get a free quote and have them check it 4 you. wear a tie/suit and they will think you are a sucker with scratch and will surely pay whatever they say. And they will tell you what is actually wrong with it, too.

 

Yes y pickup does the same thing except it blinks when the parking brake is off and when i apply it, the light is brighter and it stays on instead of flickering. Interesting thing, when i replaced my rear end it worked properly but a few minutes later it went back to its usual operation.
