LT1 cam

Has anyone installed a LT1 cam without changing stock chip.It looks fairly mild on paper.I want to do some mechanical changes this summer but I don't feel like messing with the computer just yet.I have headers and a intake manifold that I am going to install. Also 3" cat back.It would be a good time to change the cam when I have the intake off.Does anyone have a used cam for sale?

Will the LT1 cam work with the stock chip?

You'd want a 92-95 LT1 cam, as the 96-97 is slightly different. It'll work too, but there is a longer pin on the front of the cam that will need to be cut shorter. Trevor put his L98 cam in his TBI, and an LT1 cam has almost the same duration as an L98 cam, it should work just fine.
