Any thoughts? stuttering stumbling?

92 rs 305 5-speed, tach reads high so I don't know the exact RPM, but it feels like if you get it below 2000 RPM and high load it stutters and surges really bad. If you just barely use the throttle it run ok.

If you rev it up, it runs out just fine, very very weak(at WOT I get passed by cars accelerating normaly), but its at least smooth.

I tried timing it, but I can't find the lead you need to disconect. Its at like 4-6* advanced at idle.

Does this sound like fuel pump of timing?

Easiest fix ever. Nearly died when I found the advance wire. Timing mark was a good inch off the tab negative direction. much less slow and much smoother.

Wow power is really much better. Nothing like going from unable to get out of its own way, to doing one wheel rolling burnouts, with one turn of a wrench.
