Difference between stock fuel pressure regulators on our cars

Difference between stock fuel pressure regulators on our cars

I have just taken off the fuel pressure regulator and injector pod off of my 92 RS and noticed that the stock setting is set way higher then in my 88 SC. The indicator on the fuel pressure regulator on the 92RS was half way (right in the middle) of the little opening that you look at to set the fuel pressure. On my 88, the indicator was only a 1/4 way up from the bottom. So for those of you who have noticed that 92 RS's are generally faster then older models, it could be that they were tuned better from factory. I have also noticed that the sway bar up front is way thicker on the RS.

i think the fuel regs are nearly random.

sway bar size? maybe a late design addition.

I've found different spings in two different TBI units that I've had apart recently. The longer one from a 350 truck TBI and the shorter one from a 350 9c1 Caprice TBI.
