When I go to Turn on my car, I have to hold the key turned and it takes like 4-5 trys for it to start. It just doesnt start right up. Why is that? Is it just cause its a Chevy. Cause Fords Just turn right over. thanks guys

 

no its not because its a chevy!
btw, thats a really dumb thing to say.
mine starts before it turns over completely once. sometimes for the first start of the day, (i usually remote start it, because ive been told its actually better for the starter, because it ensures you dont overcrank) it will sometimes turn 3 times then fire up.

anyway, when was the last time you had a tuneup. is it the original starter?
battery? coil? plugs? have you checked anything like that out?

Dude, that is the totally dumb thing to say about Chevy's, they are the toughest strongest things on the road

WRONG board to be dissn' chevys. Don't say a thing 'bout pontiacs either. Anyway, mine does that every morning, but once it's going, it starts up on the second crank.
