Fluctuating idle when cold

I have a 1992 Camaro RS 5.0 tbi 5spd, stock with 131k miles. When I crank it up it wants to fluctuate in idle from the point of cutting off to around 1k rpm, continuing until it fluctuates from 500 to 1k as it warms up, then finally it will level out around 600 or so rpms. Is it due to a bad sensor, or throttle body? Any help would be appreciated.

could be manythings

provided your car is in a good state of tune when it comes to all the wearables, youd want to check your IAC motor and passage first. The iac controls your idle speed via a plunger that opens and obstructs a hole letting air in. Clean the passage with some carb cleaner and it might do the trick. It could be many many things though but thats where i would start.. provided of course your car is in good tune
