What to disconnect to set base timing?

right now in my driveway i have a 91' camaro RS 305 TBI unit that someone else swapped into a 90' 740 volvo wagon.

i have done most of the basic tune up parts along with a 3" catback exhaust(including a new 3" cat). this replaced the STOCK 2" volvo exhaust they had weld'd onto a custom 1.75" Y pipe they cobbled together.

i have done the cap and rotor, plugs and wires along with intake and TBI gasket. the TBI unit does leak a little fuel on cold starts from the back of the unit but i think that is the gaskets for the fittings for the fuel feed. we did seafoam the engine to clean out lots of the carbon which did help a bit.. i have also removed the EGR valve and cleaned it out and replaced the gasket also

anyways i set the base timing to 0 deg a week or so ago. the car does seem to drive and sound a little smoother but it does feel big time down on power. has a full tank of 91 oct gas. either way i have been reading a bunch here about needing to disconnect something to check the timing and set it right. well being this is not the OEM chassis what does this connector look like? and where might it be on the wiring harness that they swapped in?

the car is just a little rough to get off idle but once moving it feels just fine.

right now we just need it to pass smog and once that is done i can worry about upgrading parts for the owner of the car(as i am just the guy that gets to work on it)

thanks

ok well after a bit more effort looking around we found a brown/tan wire with a black stripe down it tucked way way under all of the wire loom

disconnected it and set the timing ... i THINK that was the right one as it did set the check engine light which i have read it should do. car does feel a lot better now BUT with the 3.73 rear end there is really not a lot of time to feel the difference as no highway runs due to really old tires we need to get replaced(new ones are sitting in the back of the wagon)

Yes you found it correctly. I would set the base at 0° to 4° advance.
