could egr vacuum be drawn straight from the plenum?

or is it subject to vacuum close to or within the throttle bores?

It should be manifold vacuum so whenever its called for it will be sucked right down the intake, right along with the fuel and fresh air. Some applications locate it right below the throttle plates as on our tbi's.

ok. so if i were to plug that and install a new nipple for the egr vacuum line tapped straight down into the plenum, nothing would change right.

That should work ok. Are you going to build this into the adapter plate or the base of the tbi? You might also want to make sure that both sides of the manifold will see equal amounts of egr on dual plane intakes.

How much is the discount for testing your tbi going to be, I should be putting out 350+ with the engine I'm build at this time.

$240 is the magic number for discounted testers. and will most likely be thirdgens price at first. probably start with a group purchase. how do you like the sound of that.

ya, egr vacuum from base plate adapter was what i have been thinking. vacuum doesnt necessarily have to be from each bore. besides. the adapter is for a sqaure bore single plane. so sides arent an issue. yet. till i design for dual plane. if requested.

There are a lot of performer and rpm intakes out there. I'd say as far as street performance goes there is more rpms than single plane intakes, but there again what do I know. 240 sounds pretty good. When you get one running on a 350+ engine let us know how low an idle you can get it to. I have an idea on how to do this but I need to get my engine together and do some testing myself. If you get yours running first shoot me an e-mail and we can talk about my idea.
