lol that's cool. Kind of freaky too. I followed one exactly like that for about 5 minutes today. I'm surpised it was so quiet though. You'd think it was a mercedes if blindfolded. It had big cool chrome tips but I didn't hear a thing.

Sounds like you had a good weekend. My car is having problems and I can't figure it out. I posted on the General tech, hopefully somebody can help me figure this out.
Those new vettes has the worst exhaust system I've ever seen. Just the rear section has 360* on each pipe.
Still an awesome car, but I'd take an ZR-1 over a new vette, even the Z06...for now. Something about 32 valves and a 5.7L....
This is SO non-tech...oh well, I think it's our rite for having to put up with so many newbies

My parents own two corvettes. One 96 Convertible and a 67 327/350 hp stingray. I took the 96' to homecoming. HOLY CRAP! I raced my friend's Turbo 2000 Volvo (C70? It's NOT a station wagon) and other friend's 2000 Taurus SHO. Can you say "smoked?" The thing is a monster. It's quiet at idle but the thing roars at you when you step on it. I must have fishtailed the thing ten times. One time I took it out with out their permission to take my friend for a joy ride and they came home early from dinner right behind me (god, I'm a badass....not really). BUSTED. The stingray is one fast mother as well. Sidepipes <- loud as hell and sound just as sweet. I haven't driven it, but I bug my dad to take me out every weekend (he's an old drag racer) but he doesn't drive like I do (stupid teenager).

The real fun is driving his 65' GTO. Can you say "389 Tripower ram air"?

I have yet to drive a C5 but a kid at my school has one and I could bet him on something. You guys are lucky, those are sweet cars.

Oh and snuffy, have you worked out a solution for nitrous on your TBI?

Uhhmmm, let's see, you were asking if it would be possible to put a TBI setup on the LS1 out of that Corvette right? Sounds tech to me.

Isn't it grammar rather than grammer?

Gotta ask snuf...if your folks own a GM dealership, WHY are you pushing a thirdgen RS?? Maybe I'm the only one who feels this way, but if I had your connections I would beg, borrow, or steal to get behind the wheel of something faster.

I'm not knockin ya for lovin your thirdgen....I sure as heck love mine....I'm just saying I would be working on starting a collection.

they might own a dealership, and your parents might buy you everything. but, being 20 bud. they arent GIVING me anything. i would have to BUY something faster. and i just did. today. a 69 camaro. my mom is getting a brand new one though, and my stepdad is now driving the vette everyday. so now all my family needs is a 2nd gen. so just to let you know. im not going begg them for something faster. thanks anyway. i love my 3rd gen camaro.
