4brrl Carb 305 to TBI Swap
Hello,
I have a killer deal on a TBI, a Electric Fan, and Cerpintine Pully system and want to take advantage of the opportunity while I still have the chance. ( It comes to 200 bucks with everything I need for it.... just have to find out what I need!! )
I want to know what I need for the TBI to be a TBI. He is giving me everything including the computer..... but what makes a TBI? I can only find stuff for a TPI!! Some say the heads are different.
Also what do I need to make a pulley fan to electric fan swap??
And what do I need to make a multiple pulley to cerpintine pulley swap??
I need help..... and soon if possible.

Okay I am new to this board but I thought I would look at it because I had some questions about my truck. Anyway I have some info on your question. In order to convert to TBI (I am assuming this came off of another f body) you will need the wiring harness, throttle body, intake, distributor, computer, sensors, the EST module and EGR stuff. There might be more but that is all that I can think of off the top of my head.
As for the serpentine system you will need the brackets and pulleys to align everything up. you might have to get new accesories such as an ac clutch. it would really be easier to just drop a complete serpentine TBI engine in already.

I could drop a 305 TBI in....... but then that cost to much money. Hey why not drop a 350 TPI in? How about a 400??
Lets not get everyone started! The next thing you know people are telling me to put a 502 crate engine in my car.
Thanks for the help though..... new A/C clutch never crossed my mind!! Thanks...... I will check into it and if possible just steal the clutch off the TBI Camaros A/C if I have to.
