Retard timing, read about N2o in the tech articles. <a href="https://www.thirdgen.org/newdesign/tech/nitrous.shtml">1</a> <a href="https://www.thirdgen.org/newdesign/tech/ednitrous.shtml">2</a>.
Every N2o company makes a TB plate, think about all the TBI trucks and 454 SS etc. They're usually a little more expensive then a normal carb plate but it's all the same. The plate injectos N2o AND fuel so you'll have to tap into our fuel lines. Isn't too hard considering we don't have high pressure fuel lines like TPI guys.

the kit for the 305-350 TBI from Nitrous Oxide Systems in #5153 i got mine from summit for i believe like $53. the kit is not hard to install just set aside about a good day to do it and take your time to do it right. I am running a Hypertech thermo master chip with 0 degree base timing and i use Texaco 93 octane gas and i have no problem with the juice ever hitting detonation.

Does nitrous cause much physical damage to the engine? I've heard that it does many times but it's all been "my friends cousins brother blew his engine using it"..

I mean, If you have an engine in decent shape, should it be able to handle the extra boost OK? Or will it shorten your engines life..?

my car ran better(faster off nitrous) after a couple of bottles? I don't know why. And I do recomend the 5153 kit, I have it on my car.

You guys running NOS, what other mods were done to the engines? Are they mostly stock? About how much time did you shave off?

I have headers, no cat, and full 3" exaust. Exaust mods are important with all the extra air through the motor. I have a 3.08 posi rear end, hotchkis rear suspention, Open element, injector spacer, pullies, accel ignition stuff, ripper shifter, centerforce dual friction clutch, and a/f and fuel press gauges in the a-pillar. Some other stuff I can't think of. At best I have run a 13.62@110mph(g-tech) so the mph at a track would be 106-107. off nitrous I run 14.80's at 95mph with a best of 14.60 at 97.

I've been thinking alot about the new Edelbrock nitrous system. Don't know if they make a TB plate or not however.

I know NOS makes a TBI kit specifically, and they sell it in the Next Gen Camaro/Firebird catalog for $579. No jets included though. It's 125 HP and adjustable, I'm getting it soon
