I need your thoughts on this setup . . .
OK, I've been looking around most of the night at various setups. After speaking to Dana at Pro-Built earlier tonight I've decided to just order a kit and rebuild my TH700R4 and snag a Vigilante converter for it. I have no idea what my cam specs are for the 305 I built for my 88 back in high school 10 - 11 years ago. I do recall wanting a bigger cam later on wen I was going to eventually swap the heads out.
Anyway, this is what I'm wanting to toss together:
Crane Powermax 2050 cam (2200-5200 RPM, 216° Intake/228° Exhaust @ .050, .454'' Intake/.480'' Exhaust with 1.5 rockers). I want to run a LT4 HOT cam but my block is a hydraulic flat tappet setup. This appeared to be the closest cam to it despite the lower duration.
1.6 Roller Rockers
World Products S/R 305 Heads
Hooker SC 2210 Headers
GMPP 454 Fuel PSI regulator
Larger injectors (90lbs?)
ATI Procharger (TBI) *going to have to save for this*
- and/or -
Nitrous Express N2O (TBI) *very near future*
BTW as far as compression goes I'm probably running around a 10:1 as the 305 sits right now. I might drop that down using forged internals when I go with the ATI Procharger to run more boost and N2O. I might just keep it the same though as ATI is known for working well with high factory compression like the LT1/LT4 had.
I will be staying with a 305. I have no desire or reason to switch to another engine. I would also like to stick with TBI because, I don't feel that I need to go to another type of system.
The issue is, what intake manifold should I use? I had been considering a X-CELerator 7546 but, I'm not to found of the RPM range (2800-7200). 2800 would seem like it would be similar to turbo lag. I'm building an all around car not just a drag car or circle track. The main duties it will see are street and road race/autocross. I would like it to breathe from 2200- 6000 RPM with a flat torque band and decent HP. I read, and read, and read tonight but most of the threads were fairly old and I'm sure there have been tuning advancements over the years.
Actually, I have two more questions as well.
1) Is there an oil pan designed for road racing that isn't $500+ like the one's Hawks has for sale? I'm looking for one with kickouts but this might not be an option due to ground clearance and wanting to use full length headers.
2) Can you purchase the sending unit and pickup they used in the 1LE cars? I'm sick of mine starving for fuel on hard turns and bogging if not dying.
I hope this was enough detail for everyone & thanks in advance . . .
*EDIT* I'm not to worried about C.A.R.B. exemption numbers but I do need and WANT to pass emissions testing. I'm not one to willing destroy the environment.

Try to find a 90+ fuel tank. my RS has a baffled tank. I have heard a lot of diffrent things, about the tank beinga 1LE only peice, or whatever, but here is a pic, of the stock tank in my 90 RS.

As for the oil pan, canton racing makes some NICE pans. They are about $400 though, once you ahve bought the pick-up.

I'm not sure what the other questions in there were, if there was something specific about the combo you were looking for, go ahead and rephrase the questions...

Well since I have a 92 I should be OK then. Unless it got swapped out for some reason.
Anyway, the main question was what intake manifold should I run with that combo?
