How many Gallon Tank?
what did the 91 Firebird have? 15 gallon or 17 gallon? I think it might be 15 but someone said it is 17 to me.

15.5 for all, some specials (B4C, 1LE and I think a few others) came with a baffled tank which probably holds a bit less.

Stops the "sloshing" of the gas in the tank. This helps a lot when taking an onramp with almost empty tank. Are you sure that all 91 later had baffled tanks? If so, how do I know if I've got it? You would make my day if this is true.

My owner's manual says it holds 15.5 Gallons in my 92 Camaro. And as far as the baffles, I think they are good for racing but I used to have a 89 Camaro with the unbaffled tank, and it would always let me know when it was low on fuel because it would cut out a little going around corners when it was real low on fuel and gave me time to get to the gas station, my 92 will drive till it's empty and just die, no warning at all!! It only happened once but that was enough, that was the day that I discovered that when the gauge was on "E" it really was!!! no reserve at all.

This is very cool. Just learned something new today . I'm glad I have a baffled tank. I too had a problem when one day when going to work, I noticed I was on empty. Well the NEXT day when I was going home I just remembered that YESTERDAY it was empty. About 5 seconds later the car died going up a hill, I didn't get any warning and I always trash it around the corners.
Now I just built a "low level" warning LED. Tim over on the electronics board had the plans and it has a 20 second delay so if you drive on an onramp it won't flash on with a false reading. It's also adjustable (the level). It's really cool having warning lights. A lot of guys think dumby lights are stupid, I think they would save me time and money. For example, my fan wasn't working, didn't notice until I started to hear the coolant boiling in the overflow tank!!!! Had to pull over and fix it, that could have been worked out with a dumby light that would come on at like 220.
What do you guys think about dumby lights? Like or dislike?

i think dumby lights are cool. especially gas lights. i think my car has one for the radiator though. it doesnt work, but on the gauge next to the e-brake light it has a pic of radiator with water coming out.

ok so ijust checked it out.
it shows a radiator with a little water in the bottom and an arrow pointing down, so its gotta be a dumby light for low coolant.
also next to that one it has a light that says TEMP. i guess thats the overheat one. neither one of them work though. nor does my shift light.on the left side it shows:
BRAKE-FASTEN SEAT BELTS-pic of rad.-TEMP

Um, because I set my tripmeter and put like 5-10 miles on it before I fill up my tank, then I run it all the way to E. Then write down how many miles it took to run it to E and divide that number by 15.5. Thats what I am doing to find my gas mileage.

Well here is a better way of doing.
1.fill up completly
2.set trip to 0 before u start your car
3.couple days later of ave. city driving fill up tank again making sure to take note of miles on trip and gallons put in
4. then divide gallons into miles
example: 200 miles 10 gallons = 20 mpg
no need to run till e, or that other complicated ****
good luck!
i get around 18-20 in town and hwy i ave. 26-28 being that the air is off and heat
i have a 89 L03 ( bird )
