Throttle response problems on a cold engine

I dont know if that is a good title or not. Anyway, for a while my car has had a problem accelerating after it has been sitting for a while. Everything starts fine but when I start going it hesitates a little. In fact it feels like it is sucking in a bunch of air and wanting to stall (I dont know if thats a good description). Anyway, once I push the throttle down about halfway it picks up and goes fine, no more problems. Its just that first time I press the gas. Guess I should tell you I have a 91 w/ 305 tbi. I have changed the fuel pump relay, at least the relay on the drivers side behind the brake master cylinder-i have heard of another one being next to the battery??? It has new plugs and wires if that makes a difference. Other than that the engine is stock. Thanks.
