No fuel after MSD install :help:
I have a 91 camaro rs with 305 tbi. I ran into a problem after I installed new probillet distributor, MSD 6a ignition box, and blaster 2 coil . I have spark so everything is hooked up right. But I am not getting any fuel from the injectors. I poured some gas in the carb and it started right up but never got a drop of fuel from injectors.

But with the MSD-8361 pro-billet distributor running off of the MSD igniton the computer isn't being used anymore right? Does that mean I would have to get a new carb for it to work. Or do I have to do some wiring to get the fuel injectors to work. Moderator

The 8361 is the wrong distributor for your TBI setup, it's for non-computer applications. The ECM isn't getting reference pulses from the distributor anymore, so it won't turn on the fuel pump or fire the injectors. You'd either need to convert to carb, or replace the distributor.

If you wanted cheap and reliable, the best thing would probably be to put the right distributor in.

Yeah but after spending $245 on it, id rather not buy another. I have been wanting to get a intake and carb anyway, but wasn't planning on spending the money now. So any recommendations or links for a good setup?

I put about 100 miles on it a week. I already have crappy gas mileage, a new intake and carb would increase MPG wouldn't it? Unless I was heavy on the gas? But I plan on running it at the strip a lot this year.

Having a lead foot is going to burn gas no matter what setup you have. If it's going to see much time at the strip, something like a 750 DP would probably be good, with a dual plane intake. You can use a return-style regulator to lower the pressure from the stock TBI in-tank pump to a carb-friendlier level.

Any recommendations on intake manifold and carb then? Something cheap but I can rely on and still run good.
