Just updates on what's new

Went to e-town with a crap eprom, best 14.853 at 94.61 and my 60' was 2.385. My other 60' times were higher. I didn't want to spin coming out of the hole so you can see my ET hurt pretty bad. I didn't get to WOT until I was at 3500 in 1st. The most pathetic part about this car is how I have the most mismatched parts. The engine intake manifold, TB, eprom, and element are for max flow up top. The headers are great all around but I don't have a muffler so I'm loosing even more bottom end. Then I have a stock stall converter and 3.08 open diff rear with one zr rated tire on one side and an all season tire on the other (from my blow out not too long ago). Basically the engine makes next to nothing under 3500 yet the drivetran holds me down. Let me just put it this way, I finally got to shift into 3nd gear at 5700rpm but I was just about to cross the 1/4 line and so obviously the gears and torque converter are holding me back. I have the posi unit and the gears should have been here already (waiting waiting) so the only other thing I might do is get a torque converter with a stall rating of ~3000.
As for eprom burning: My laptop just decided to take a **** after I installed Tuner Cat. I restarted...no problem...now after it froze I restarted and now it freezes in my reinstall process of win95! POS is giving me a headache. That's that.
I did manage to test out the speed limiter. I programmed a valet chip that cut off the fuel at 40mph . Works great but if you keep your foot on the gas the engine will just shut off so that isn't too cool.

Sounds like your having as much bad luck as Brian and I are with his LOL. Did you check out the Web Site brian set up for the Thurbo Yet. If not its at www.geocities.com/feltsb/kyle.html

The Front end is done now and so is the interior and I am down to like 10 parts I need to be complete. Then I have to find the cause of the code 42. BLAH BLAH BLAH, damn code 42's.
Well Anyways Your car should be running hella better times than that even in the shape you are in, Though I have to say that the POSI is going to help BIG time. The biggest thing you could do for your ET's is a set of DOT Drags and save you Z's for the street.

I think your converter might be too big. I would stay under 2500 considering how much you have to drive in Columbus.(you are coming back in the fall right?) I tell you my tranny in the old black one got hot in towna and it onlyu had a 2000-2200 ROM stall and a B&M external cooler.

Well good luck
I like the Valet chip, if I ever figure out how to program chips for the TTA I will make one that cuts off at 40 also and limits the boost to 1psi LOL. Nobodys joy riding the Turbo but ME!

Past Thirdgen:
86 Trans Am w/ built 355TPI with SLP goodies and too much other stuff to List. One sweet *** car, wish I would have had a good enough Job to pay insurance on three cars so I could keep it, but for a 89 Turbo Trans Am w/ Low miles, I think I made the right choice!

i was witness to jon's runs. the car really looked like it was motoring in the middle of the track. the way he was coming out you gotta figure he wasted prolly 3-5mph becauise he had to baby it so far before getting into the good pedal.
i have been in the car before he got a good tune on it na dit has the power to run well into the 13's, just a matter of getting it to the ground.

The car is setup wrong. I don't even have LCA relocation brackets and I lowered the darn thing! Now if only I could get that darn exhaust system on my car!!!! TIM?
Not this weekend but next I should be running with 3.73, posi, higher stall converter, and matching set of meats lol.
