What causes a tbi to flood?

What causes a tbi to flood?

I was driving home from work this morning and out of no where it died.Smelled like it was really flooded.Anyway after a few minutes it started back up and I drove home.Any ideas?

Maybe check your fuel pressure. The CTS has also been known to cause strange behavior like that without ever throwing a code.
