Fuel pressure gauge on a lo3?????

just curious to see how to hook up an electric fuel pressure gauge to the lo3 motor
and as far as fuel pressure gauges go , isnt better if they are hooked up past the regulator because the pressure is regulated after it ..not before it..i guess what im saying is ...cant the fuel pressure be different before the regulator as opposed to after the regulator? and knowing that the regulator is in the tbi ...how do you go buy hooking one up ??

on the drivers side of the car, where the fuel lines come up to the motor there is a connector in the lines. screw the pressure sending unit into the larger line(the feed line) at the connector, you may need an adpter or 2 to make it work, i am not sure what the fitting sizes are.
then just run the wires however you want.

There is no shraeder valve on TBI'd cars. You would have to (a) cut the fuel lines and splice the sending unit in or (b) find the mythical fittings that will all screw together to do it without cutting/splicing. Someone mentioned that the fittings are actually power steering fittings so maybe look there; or do what I did and splice.

I added a guage last month. Summit Racing part #SUM-G1710. Cut the large hose, slide a hose clamp on each one, push the fitting into the hoses, tighten the clamps and screw in a guage or a sensor fitting of your choice . The threads are 1/8 NPT for this part number. Worth $5.99 to be done in about 5 minutes. Good Luck!
