switching to a carb..........

I would like to swap over the TBI to a holley carb and do away with all the emissions control crap on my car, bbut i'd like to know if it would be worth it. will a holley bolt right onto the stock manifold and how hard is it to get the car to pass emissions?

probably not, but it depends on what you are basing the worth on.

No. You need to change the intake manifold.

Depends on your state. If they let you change it to carb then it should be easy. There are lots of tricks to get carbs to pass.

Re: switching to a carb..........

Going to carb on vehicle originally equipped with EFI is in violation of federal emissions rules (unless you plan to use it for off road only). You may live in state that today does not have emissions testing, but sooner or later the happy, tree hugging hippies from San Francisco will force your state legislators to start state wide emissions testing. It is very profitable for states since it keeps brain dead state bueracrats building new empires while emptying your valet.
Other than that swapping intake manifold and distributor is all that is required. So, now that you know go do the right thing.
