Engine: currently swapping 5.3
Transmission: 4l60e
Axle/Gears: soon to be 4:11
idleing to fast
does anyone have any sugestions on why it oculd be doin this?....could the amount of coolent have to do with it?...we have had the car for about a month now...the tach says it idles at 3200....how do i fix it..... thanks for helpin me

Does the engine sound like its racing in neutral? 3200 is pretty quick for an idle! It sounds like a major vacuum leak, sticking throttle, or the IAC is stuck wide open.

i know its idleing to fast, but i think the tach is off.... when you shut the car off it stays at 2500 rmps.... so the car is idleing at most 1,000rmps over normal, is there anything you can tell me to do?
