Comp Cam's new TBI cam

I just got off Comp cam's web site and they now have a cam made for TBI cars that works with the computer (part# 08-500-8). I have been looking for a reason to yank the stock cam, and here it is. My question is, has anyone heard anything about this cam and anyone got any helpful hints to speed the swap?

Thanks in advance

i got a couple things that will help speed up the swap, ok heres the first-when you loosen the oil pan the drop it toget the timing cover off, just take out all the boltsexept for the very backones, this will make it alot easier to get the cover back on. and second after much confusion to me on these newer engines (mines a 91 305 tbi) when the dots on the cam and crank gear line up, the engine is not on #1 tdc, its actually at #6 tdc thats the way its supposed to be, hope it all goes well for ya, i got the crane compucam 2031 in my bird, and it rocks

At .488 lift with 1.5 rockers stock heads might have retainer to valve guide clearance trouble.

Summit wants $235 for it. I called Comp cams and they said the cam is designed to be a direct replacements w/ no need for new springs, pushods, shims etc. I'll have to call them again and ask about lift problems.

A used stock LT1 or L98 cam is cheaper, too.

So they are saying the stock springs can take 488 lift?
