well I have a pontiac but I was wondering if I could make a 389 chevy stroker with the new "383" 3.8" stroker crank and 350 block. how much would I have to bore it out to come out to 389 cid?

I was thinking something similar yesterday. But I want to get up in the 39?'s. I haven't set down to do the math good yet. I was at work using my calculator watch and couldn't remember the exact value for pie.

 

A bore of 4.04 and a stroke of 3.80 would yield about 389 cid, using a calculator on the net.

4.06 and 3.80 would get me about 394 cid.
4.06 and 3.75 would make a 388.3

How far can a 350 be bored?
