Re: how much would it help my car???

Without tuning not at all, with tuning it would help a LOT since the stock cam is one of the smallest ever used in a small block. You'll also want to upgrade your exhaust, intake, and possibly heads. It's easy to get an unbalanced setup where the cam and intake are tuned for power above 4000 rpm and the heads are done making power by 5000 rpm. Tends to make for a peaky engine that doesn't run all that great.

That particular cam would be the biggest I would run with swirl port heads, it may even be a touch too big. It will also be a challenge to tune if you have never done it before.
