I am going to put a 350 in my 1992 Rs it will probably be out of a truck and i am gonig to keep it TBI soon and I know I need a prom chip and the guy at the engine place said it will cost me like 170 for the prom and to put it in He said he had to remove something in the computer does this sound right?? Thanks

 

I've heard you can get the carpice chip from GM for $50, but I've also heard that there are some torque converter lockup issues with that chip.

 

i say buy the burning and programming equiptment and im sure somebody could share bin with you, then you could modifiy that as you could modified your 350.
