Nasty odor from the vents?

When ever I am driving and come to a stop sign or light I get this nasty odor from the ac vents. It smells like oil and I think its coming from the the valve cover breather I put and because I took of the rear seal from the hood. How do I get rid of this nasty smell or at least reduce it?

is it a gasonline/oil smell. get rid of it by putting your hood seal back in and or getting a smaller breather. you could also probably try to do something to block your incoming vents on your cowl, but you wouldnt like doing that if you wanted to use your ac. if its a rotten smell when only when you have your blower motor running, you need to clean out your evaporator core.

That's why the CCV line to the air cleaner is used instead of a rocker cover breather.
