i have a 91 305 tbi 5spd shitty setup really low performance at least but heres the problem that has come to be i drove the car home 5 hours nothing wrong except till the end the light came on.ran the codes oxygen sensor lean. but the actual problem is the car is surging like idles soo smooth give it a load it almost dies and then picks up and surges and if your driving in the car your being thrown back and forth. now ive replaced teh coolent temp sensor the tbi was rebuilt with all new gaskets. a new throttle position sensor? someone said it might have jumped the chain? please if you know tell me what to do here

 

Welcome aboard! I would check your feed line fuel pressure. It sounds like you have a dying fuel pump. You can rent these for free and if you see less than 9psi you have a dead pump. If your timing set "jumped a chain" your thread title would have read something like this "horrid grinding and rattling sounds coming from front end of the engine and it won't run".
