computer and chip swap

OK TBI guys,
Ive been told that the 8746 computer can be plugged right in where my 8063 sett right now.
First, Is this true, or do i have to change a sensor or any wiring?
Second_ If this is true, will a chip out of say a 3/4 ton pickup with 350 work in my computer? (have 350 TBI)
and lastly, Has anyone had FASTCHIP make them a chip for their 8063 computer and what do you think.
thanx 4 yor time

I did some checking and the 8746 ECM will plug right in. No wire or sensor swapping. I don't think that the chip from the truck will be very good. It will run but you will be pig rich. I have the stock chip from my '92 LO3 that I would be willing to part with if you would like. email me off list if you are interested.

The ecm will swap right in but an eprom from a different ecm will not swap into another ecm. Physically it will fit and yes many use the same type of eprom BUT the data is translated differently. A 7747 eprom bin file will not work with an 8746 , etc.
Fastchip is a very good company but for the money I would probably try and find a local guy with a dyno or scanner like Diacom.
