I have an 86 Monte Carlo LS with a 4.3 TBI V6 that I want to put a L69 305 HO V8 in. The 305 is out of an 86 SS Monte. I want to put the TBI on the V8. I have the V8 intake, distributor and coil. Does anyone know if the V6 throttle body will work on a V8? are the injectors the same? Will the V6 computer work, do I need a V8 chip? Will I need a bigger fuel pump (it's electric in the tank). Thank you for any help!!!

 

the throttel body is the same, the injectors might be different but it might not matter. there have been 4.3Ls with more HP than the 5.0L. I would imagine you need a v8 chip or computer.

The intake that you've got for the v8, is it a tbi intake or is it the L69 intake?

I would think that it should run fairly ok if you were to get 305 injectors for your throttle body, but I'm not sure.

The fuel pump should put out enough probably.
