question about open air element

Here's a question...if switching from factory intake w/ snorkel to open air....what do you do with the "stovestack" from the drivers side manifold to the snorkel? I haven't played with this yet but what does it do, jsut blow out hot air...exhaust?

thanks.

Yank it off and keep it in your garage in case you ever want to re-install your stock air cleaner. It's nothing more than a chimney effectively.
