WOW< old thread returns from the dead.

well. um, its not a manifold. Its a new tbi design, as the title states.

Its still in my little computer. and it exists as foam mockups, but no real hardware has been made yet. I wanted to do it this last summer, but bought a 69 camaro instead.

I am now hoping that january will be the birthdate. Because i will be receiving a large tuition reimbursment from the company i work for, and i dont have to pay for my own school.

Another question Snuf. Would the increase in bore diameter require the injectors to be spaced farther apart as well? Or would the difference not be enough to measure? I ask because you should be able to answer this if anyone can.

I figure if we can keep you thinking about your TB, maybe you will stay focused instead of buying another Camaro You could build up your '69 with a sweet 406 TBI and classify it as promotional.

------------------
'87 Silverado
350 4 bolt main bore .040 over
TB Injected
Ported and Polished heads
Comp cams 268h cam and top end
Flowtech headers
3.73s on Detroit locker

yes, ive thought about using the 69 as a business rightoff as a promotional and business only vehicle. ya right. anyway, that was when i was going to start a LLC for all my ideas, and patent this tbi, well, that would cost about 4 times as much as just building it.

to your injector spacing question. i used to have all of the dims of this thing memorized but have forgotten them since its been a while since i actually worked on it. essentially its been finished since mid summer. or maybe before.

anyway, the injectors will be off, by 1mm on each bore, because the space between the two bores is the smallest possible clearance i could allow for without giving up the tbi's rigidity. but its a thin wall between the bores. i think i remember that the injectors are on 59mm centers, and the two 2.25 bores are on 60 or 61. i cant remember exactly and the cad drawings are on the laptop which is off in another room.
(edit-- i should note that it was decided that would not be an issue at all with atomization or anything else. )

really, ive thought of everything. im just waiting to build one, then of course i will probably notice things i want to change.
this was an obsession for about 6 months, and now its just an idea i had and am waiting to build. thats why i havent been posting much on it lately. its just waiting.
