12-13 hwy mpg and overheating
I think I figured out that my water pump is shot (which sux cause it's brand new). The upper hose should feel stiff at idle, right? I can squeeze the hose almost all the way off at idle. Also, I'm getting really crappy milage on the road, and I bog down a lot. Is this a vacuum leak? I have an in-line pump designed for TPI, but also have the stock regulator. DO you think that my regulator is shot due to the high pressure (I haven't installed a pressure guage so can't tell what pressure I'm running)? I checked a plug and I didn't see any signs of gas fouling, but then again I checked only one plug. Any ideas? Also, what would be a good in-line fuel pump to run. It's obvious that this one is too much for me. What about the Summit fuel pump (18 PSI)?

the upper radiator hose shouldnt be too stiff if your thermostat is open. When is the car overheating highway/city? I had a problem with my car getting hot on the highway and it turns out that my lower airdam broke off and my radiator wasnt getting any cool air. As far as gas mileage, have you changed ur fuel filter recently? ignition stuff? just all suggestions

The car runs nice and cool on the highway, but as soon as I pull to a stop, I can watch the temp guage climb and climb without end. It sucks. Not only is the upper hose not stiff at idle, I can squeeze it to where it touches itself on the inside. Not good. Bad water pump.

Yep, fan works. Of course, it's not coming on until 240*. I'm going to put in this water pump to see if that helps. What do you think about my other problem?
