how do I get rid of code 32????????

I hollowed out my cat and now I get code 32. I didn't put a pipe in it yet but I worried that alone won't help the code. what should I do? I'll check the hoses tonight. how much does a new egr cost? I have 115,000 miles on the car.

I have not yet been able to get rid of that egr code and I bought a brand new Egr valve.
You should read the Tech article on EGR system.

Make sure all those hoses are on good. Also check your check valve. I got that error and my check valve was cracked so badly that it was barely staying together. Also gave me a rough idle. Hope this helps.

I get that code sometimes too mostly when i'm on the highway. Can you explain which check valve your talking about. Also does that code cause any performance loss.

it doesn't effect performance any (I don't fell it) I turn on the vent and it didn't come on in the afternoon. but it was on this morning when I didn't have the vent on. I'll test some more tomorrow. hoses all look pretty good to me.
