TBI unit rebuilt kit
Hi,
Last week end, I looked at the engine of my RS cause, there's a fuel odor that seems to come from the TBI unit. And I have seen what it seems to be a fuel leak. So I think it's time to rebuilt the TBI unit.
Question : can you advise me a rebuild kit for my TBI unit. Where to buy it?
I've read the CHP article : Blueprint for success
But there are some details I don't want to do. I don't want to improve the TBI unit, I just want to stop the fuel leak.
Maybe it could be interesting to put an adjustable FPR and bigger injectors. what do you think?

Wahoo
I think the reason why you did not get any responses is because most of us do not know what part suppliers available in French auto parts stores! Probably very little for your 305 RS!
In USA there are many suppliers, but most of them OEM from a handful of companies.
For your car ’92 TBI:
Niehoff rebuild kit
http://www.niehoff.com/catalogs/nie_bgbulk.aspx?strSearch=CK1081
Wells rebuild kit
http://www.e-webcatalog.com/wells/ecatalog.aspx
Part Number CK883
Where is your fuel leak? You got to fix it ASAP – or you can loose your car to an engine fire!!!
Adjustable FPR and bigger injectors will not add any value unless you improve engine breathing as well – restricted exhaust system is the first thing that should be looked at before even contemplating above mentioned items. See sticky in TBI forum.

Re: TBI unit rebuilt kit
Thanks for your reply.
There's no chance to find a rebuilt kit for my TBI unit cause the third gen are unknown in France.
I always order my parts in United States, (summit, jegs, ebay.com, and so on). It's very easy to order online with nternet and parts are cheaper in US than in France.
Thanks for the links for the rebuilt kit.
For the injectors and the AFPR, I know that on a stock engine, it's not very useful. But I plan to put, in a delay of 6 months to one year, some vortec heads, intake manifold, camshaft, and headers. I don't know if it's very useful to put another TBI unit.
But if I keep the stock one, it could be useful to improve it now, no?

No I don't think so.
If I remember me, I ve seen a trace on the side of the throttle body... Overflow? I will inspect it this week end, and I will tell you.
Can you confirm me that I can start and run the engine without the air filter, just to see how the TBI unit works and where's the problem?

Re: TBI unit rebuilt kit
Ya know I was trying to find a rebuild kit for my TBI under $15. I know this sounds crazy because a lot has happened in two years since my last rebuild but the last time I bought one it was $9.95 for everything that was in the kits listed in the first post above. Is $35 the cheapest anyone has seen?

Autozone keeps rebuild kits for them...(dont go in there and ask for one.. they will look at u like your stupid and be able to find it)But I have a part number you can get it with...try this link http://autozone.com/R,APP766768/vehi...ductDetail.htm this kit includes everything exept the fpr diaphram..it has the gasket though so you can remove the fpr and put it back on.....hope this helps...oh the $35 one has the diaphram and thats the only differance...

This link won't work for me. Do you have a part number I can look up at AutoZone? By the way what part of Tennessee are you from? I lived near Chattanooga before going to the Air Force.
