Good set of heads for TBI motor

I have a 350 Tbi motor, I am looking for a good set of aftermarket heads that will flow good but with out spending alot of money. I am going to get the holley tbi intake and 670 throttle body. If anyone could let me know a good set of heads that will bolt up to this combo? Also what kinda camshaft is the best for the TBI motors? Do I have to put a bigger fuel pump in with NOS?

Since you are already going to buy a new intake, take a look at the vortecs.

Just keep an eye on your C/R and retainer to seal interference from high cam lift.

Even though some extra work will most likely be riquired to make the heads work well, $400 aint bad for a set of brand new good heads.

I have been looking at the SR torquers, the 67cc combustion chamber ones. Where can I get them for $350? they are 375 complete in jegs. does anyone have these heads? what kind of power can they make with a tbi? Any combos/timeslips? I am intrigued, I think these may be the way I go

That price is per head. They're not much cheaper than the Trick flows. Aluminum heads are usualy 40 lbs. cheaper. Rememebr 100 lbs. off the car = .1 in the 1/4 mile.

First off Tas I remember seeing those Trick Flows for a little more than $850 at Summit..secondly, do they need any machine work or anything? If they do it's definitley not worth it compared to the Torquers...

They were $850 when introduced a year or so ago. Not surpisingly they would be more now. No machine work. Straight bolt on. Just add rockers. The springs and valves are already on.

Edelbrock Aluminum 6085. A little more pricey though at about $1100.

I have never been thrilled with edelbrock quality or design. to me, 1100 bucks for edelbrock anything is too much. I have put edelbrock intakes on a 72 cutlass, and now my 91 RS and they have had to be modified both times. If they have so many bugs in such a relatively simple piece, how bad are they gonna butcher somthing a great deal more complicated? I would buy trick flow over edelbrock anyday, if I was looking for aluminum heads. What are the best iron heads for the street? I hear Dart iron eagle heads are awesome, but because of the teflon seals (?) they are best suited for the track. Can you get different seals put in? And why is everyone so sold on vortec heads? My friend put them on a 327 (i think)and didn't notice much improvement.

stock vortec heads on a 327 is a mismatch, that's why. 327s want high RPM and stock vortecs are a lower RPM truck head.
