O2 Sensor Questions

I'm gonna replace my 02 sensor when I redo my exhaust next spring, but I wanna know the advantages of using a heated o2 sensor, and I've heard lots of talk about using a 4 wire 02 sensor, i have no idea what that is, but if there is any advantage, could some explain this to me? Also, what about wideband 02 sensors?

thanks
nate

I don't know about wideband O2's, but heated O2's are used to speed up the computer's closed loop operation on cars. Your air injection system serves that purpose. I've done my headers and yanked the air injection (smog pump) and still don't need heated O2's. Just stick with what you've got...unless some one else has had problems, mine has been running just fine.
