TBI + 2500 stall + 3.73s

What do ya guys think that would do in the 1/4

All I got done to the motor is open element, timing at 6*, no cat and a Borla muffler on a stock I-pipe. Oh and the tranny has 260 miles on it with a transgo 2&3 reprogramming kit.

That converter and gears (if they're posi) could shave up to a second off your ET with a good launch.

it would help but only if you could launch correct witch means you beeter beef up the suspension to handle teh 2500 stall with the 373 rear or you will do nothing but spin...

I have similar mods, all but the converter, and I launch at 1750 or so. I have complete stock suspension. I do have a powertrax locker but my 60' times dropped from 2.08 to 1.93. It is a pretty good combo for the 3rd gen.

i would predict a 15.2-15.5 as a good time for this combo. you have the season of good air so it should run well. if you do the ultimate mods to the tb and a y-pipe or headers and y-pipe you will be knocking on the 14's. just remeber to shift th ecar your self at around 4800-5000.

Thanks guys.. **** I forgot about doing the TBI mods.. I did those over the summer with bumping up the FP a few years ago.

Hrmm so low 15's eh hehe

Ohh FYI when I had a 3.23 open rear in there (currently a 2.73 posi) I was running 16.010s with a 2.27X-2.29X 60 foot's

hehe suspension mods.. Nahh dont need them yet.. I've managed to get some awesome 60 foots (like 1.9s) outta a guys 383 GTA with 4.10s, street tires and no suspension mods..

Thanks again guys

Kat

The last time that I was at a Quarter mile track my e.t.s were 14.91-14.94's. that is not bad for stock innerds in a 305. It was about 85 degrees out that day too. I was getting 1.97 60'ers with the 3.73's and the Powertrax. That is no burnouts either. You can do it! You can do it all day long!!
