For those of you who may be scared of the free ware that J Prevost mentioned, or do not want to pay for diacom. Turbolink works for the TBIs. I have done extensive testing with my brother on tuning his car. It is wonderful and is ver comperable to Diacom except the Turbolink is only useable on TBI trucks and cars, TTAs and Grand Nationals.
They dont even advertise that it works for the F-body TBI, but it does.
So its $150 for software manual and cable

hmm.. Can anyone explain what these software things do...
Seems like I would have to hook something up to the cable... Like somehting of ECU or chip of some sort...
??
What am I missing?
If thats right then I would need something to plug into the ECU???

If you know what a wire is then you'll figure out how easy it is to tap into the ALDL port. Look under your dash on the drivers side, there should be a funny looking female connector. Behind that are wires, only one of them is the ecm data line and when the time comes we can all tell you which one that is. You then need to tap into the +12 and a ground and you're good to go.
I hope to have some time this weekend to finish my website and build a few circuits to show you guys how easy it is.

Well if you buy turbolink it comes with the cable for your computer.
Basically it allwas you to see what you computer sees, TPS Volts, Map reading, O2 reading, and other information to help you get dialed in to tune for optimal Performance.
Its well worth the $150, saved my brother and I some major head aches with our Cars

This board is for cheap people, can't you tell?
Nobody likes tuning their car even after adding boltons. It's like they enjoy running lean and have no idea why it's making power so they post and we tell them fuel pressure. Then next thing you know they've sold the car and bought a TPI and are doing the same thing over on the TPI board
.
It's like we're the entry level for thirdgens. Heck, even v6s had mpfi!

Yes it is a great tool. But now that winaldl is out, it's free, and it works in windoz, can't beat that. The serial port interface is SO simple, 2 resistors and a transistor. 2 wires it all it needs.
The best part is I can copy the tables an insert them into excel and it'll modify the values to give me my new values. This is the one advantage it has over both diacom and turbolink. If you've got a turbo, get turbolink of course!
