TBI vs. Carb....and other questions..
Okay i got quite a lengthy question...
Which is better in the long run.. upgrading to a bigger TBI or swapping in a carb? I am planning on throwing on new headers/exhaust, better cam, msd ignition this winter. So with that in mind would it be smarter for me to go with a higher flowing TBI and program my own chips, or **** on my ECM and go for a carb? My dad wants me to stick w/ TBI cuz we get some pretty cold winters, and he says getting everything right w/ a carb is a real bi*ch.
Now if I were to go with a new TBI which do you recommend? What intake manifold?? (I have an open air element now).
If I were to go with a carb, which carb and manifold do you guys recommend? How much of a difference in hp/torque will I notice over a TBI??
Also, this car will be a daily driver so i dont want something that gets only 12mpg
..btw i should also mention that it's a '90 RS w/ a 350 in it.
Thanks in advance

I don't know what's worse, tuning a carbeurator or tuning the TBI ECM. I'm about to swap over to a carb after a year of trying to get the ECM tuned correctly. Tell you what, if you wanna keep the TBI you can E-Mail me and I'll negotiate the sale of my 670cfm throttle body, the TBI to 4bbl adapter plate, chip programmer, chip eraser, and 7 or 8 chips. Just let me know.

For mileage and reliability, stick with the TBI.Tuning can be a problem, but if you keep it simple, and don't expect 500 HP,I think the TBI is great.
