Help Timing....lt1 cam 305 ??

Help Timing....lt1 cam 305 ??

ok.....should my timing with and edel performre tbi intake.....96 lt1 cam and soon headers..what shold my base timing be on....also...i went from a 12 timing tab to a 3 oclock i think ...well with the stock balancer......any way to get my timing pretty close...please help

for the first setting just advance it until it starts to knock a little then back it off about 2 degrees. no need to worry about the exact number, you just want to have as muich intial as possible.

NJ's got it right but a quiker way to do it is hook up a vac guage(can be pump) advance it until it maxes out then back it off two deg. This works great, I dont even use a light anymore.
