'course it's gonna lose low-end power.. adding to high-end power like that means sacrificng low-end power. If my understanding is correct, loss of air velocity due to the larger passages in the intake and the insanely higher lift and duration of the cam is the cause in this particular case. To my knowledge there's no real way to get it back without forced induction, but I really hope someone corrects me there

At any rate, your upper end gains should more than make up for the low end losses.

It might be the fact that you have other bottlenecks in the system. The headers should help.

I could tell no loss with my LT4 swap, only gains..but I have other mods and chip tuning.

What other mods do you have?

thanks

With that major of a mod, you'll probably see a big benifit if you get a custom chip burned, or burn one yourself.

Did you line up the cam, and the crank correctly? You know, lining the two dots up on the timing chain sprockets?
An LT1 cam is not THAT big of a deal. It has a whopping 204/210 duration @.050" I forget the lift numbers.
I know my cam doesn't have the aggressive lift that a roller cam does, but I got the 206/212 @ .050, .425/.442 lift. NO loss of bottom end power...

Provided that everything is installed correctly and it seems to be running OK,do the headers/free flowing exhaust mod. Then tune the whole package. You will see a big gain from the exhaust mods, and you will need to tune anyway then.
Good luck,Dave
