TBI injectors and alcohol compatibility
I know search, I tried.
Is there any consideration I need to account for to run ethanol though a TBI injectors. This will not be a thirdgen, but a tbi converted car.
thank you

Re: TBI injectors and alcohol compatibility
The main issue I can think of is corrosion as alcohol absorbs water. This will effect everything in the fuel system. Check Delphi.com. They have an injector catalog that lists the various TBI injectors and they also state the alcohol compatability there as well. IIRC the TBI injectors are on the second page of the catalog.

What about Pure Denatured Alcohol? I was told to run this before going to my emissions check...to run cleaner as I have no smog setup or header tubes.
Also what about methanol? does Delphi cover these?

Re: TBI injectors and alcohol compatibility
I ran E85 through my TBI unit for about a year. I stopped after I determined that it did no good. My injectors continued to work fine for a couple more years till I put that car to rest.
