Hello Everbody, I have a 91' RS with a 305 TBI that has about 189,000mi on it, and it's smoking . I have an 88 parts car with a 305 TPI motor that only has 88,000 mi. Im wanting to put the TPI motor in. Is there any way to convert the TPI to TBI or or would it be easier to just convert the car to TPI?

 

Just take the long block from the tpi car and install it into your car with your tbi intake. Then you can sell the tpi setup and have a lower mileage engine. The heads are the only difference if the the tpi car was an auto non-g92 car.
